Congratulations on your upcoming event !
At Papersilk Studio we want all our customers to be completely content with their choice of our handmade invitations, announcements or event materials.  If you have an idea that you want to work with, or just want something truly your own, then our custom design option is for you.
While some may equate "custom" with expensive, here we define it as special and unique. In fact because you have more control over the design and element choices, many find it a great way to stay within budget and have a one-of-a-kind piece.

Process
Our inquiry form is the starting point for us to gain your event information. After we receive this we will follow up over the phone or in person with an complimentary consultation to achieve a more in depth understanding of your tastes, needs and budget.  Involvement in the design process is far more important for a successful result than close proximity to the studio.  If you live in the Massachusetts area, however, an appointment may be set up to meet with us and review our invitation portfolio.

After this initial complimentary consultation the initial design phase will begin.  We will provide you with one or two custom designs based on the information you have given us. 

From this point we move into the revision phase. After your design has been fine-tuned to your satisfaction we will provide a preliminary cost quote and production will begin.

Because we believe this should be a positive and satisfying collaboration, if at any point prior to production you feel as though the design is not nearing your satisfaction, you may withdraw from the process.  Similarly, if Papersilk realizes that we are unable to satisfy your creative vision we too may choose to withdraw.

Custom Design Timeframe
Custom designs require a bit more time than our online portfolio designs.  You should allow at least 4-6 months, if possible, prior to your mailing date.

Design Pricing
Our custom pricing is offered at two levels ~ $60 for one and $100 for two original designs. Two invitation elements (RSVP, directions, menu, etc) as well as two complimentary revisions are included in this non-refundable fee. If a specialty design (boxed, bottled, etc) is desired, additional costs may apply. If more than two revisions are necessary they are billed at $35.00 an hour. A preliminary price quote will be given prior to the start of production which must be approved and returned with a 50% deposit.  The final cost of your package is dependent on the complexity of design and elements chosen.  If a client withdraws prior to production, only the initial design fee and any revision costs will be due to Papersilk Studio.
